Nutrition Supplements
Nutrition supplements are products that replace vitamins,
minerals and/or fatty acids that might be missing from a person’s
diet. Many of these supplements can be easily found at your local grocery
store, or from specialized health food retailers. The use of these products
is becoming increasingly popular among the general populace.
Many nutrition supplements contain varying amino acids. Amino acids
are proteins that the body uses for a host of different functions. Leucine,
for example, is an amino acid that helps control blood sugar and helps
promote the production of human growth hormone (HGH) in the body.
Vitamins are among the most popular nutrition supplements consumed
by the general public. Because a vitamin can not be synthesized by the
human body, it must be acquired through food consumption. Vitamin supplements
are often recommended when deficiencies occur due to a poor diet.
