Nutritional Chart

A nutritional chart can be a useful tool if you’re wanting to change your eating habits. There are a variety of different charts available, with some much more detailed than others. In general though, these charts are an excellent way to make good nutritional choices.

The most commonly recognized nutritional chart is probably the food pyramid. The food pyramid is a rudimentary tool that shows you roughly what percentage of your diet should contain each of the major food groups. According to this chart, grains and cereals should be the bulk of a proper diet, with fats and sweets being the smallest percentage.

Most of today’s fast food restaurants now post a nutritional chart which describes the nutrient content of everything on their menu. These charts show the fat content, calories, and many other pieces of nutritional information. Charts like these have helped many people understand just how unhealthy much of that food really is.
